Educational Programs for Children

La Escuelita Preschool (Ages 3–5)

Now enrolling! Our caring, play-based preschool helps children grow through fun, hands-on learning in English and Spanish. We focus on building confidence, language skills, and social development in a safe, inclusive setting. $200/month.

Programa Preescolar Bilingüe (Edades 3–4)

Academic Tutoring | MW/TR | $10 for 8 weeks

Offered year-round, this program supports elementary school, middle school, and high school students in developing their reading and writing skills, developing reading & math support with ESL using standards align curriculum. Homework help is also available and a healthy snack is provided. Students may attend twice per week (MW or TR), for an hour each day (3:30 – 4:30pm or 4:30 – 5:30pm) during the school year.

Educational Programs for Children

Summer Camp | MW/TR | 9:00am – 1:00pm | $35 for 8 weeks

Our dedicated education team plans and runs our annual summer camp, an
eight-week program filled with academic and physical activities for youth aged 6-14. Guided by trained staff and joined by their peers, campers enjoy a variety of engaging experiences. For thirty-five dollars, youth were able to participate in workshops, sports, field trips, and enjoy breakfast and lunch at ACC

Little Seeds Summer Camp/Campamento de Verano Semillitas (2-5yrs old) | M-TR | 9:00am – 1:00pm | $15 for 8 weeks

Aurora Community Connection’s Early Childhood Summer Camp is a joyful,
bilingual (English/Spanish) learning experience designed for children ages 3–5. Our camp blends play-based learning, early academic skill-building, and hands-on exploration to support the whole child. Campers engage in creative projects while having fun in a safe, nurturing environment.

es una experiencia alegre y bilingüe (inglés/español) diseñada para niños y niñas de 3 a 5 años. Nuestro campamento combina el aprendizaje a través del juego, el desarrollo temprano de habilidades académicas y la exploración práctica para apoyar el desarrollo integral de cada niño.

 

Health Programs for Children

Spring Soccer Program | Tues & Thurs | 5:45pm to 7:00pm | $10

Join us for our upcoming soccer season starting March 25! Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45 to 7:00 PM, with games on Saturdays (game times will be announced weekly). The season cost is just $10. Players must provide their own shoes and shin guards, but jerseys will be provided. Come be a part of the fun!

Mexican Folk Dance | Tues & Thurs | 6:00pm – 7:30pm | $10/month

This program is currently on pause - only beginner group is active. In this class, participants learn performance routines and practice dance moves that develop physical strength as well as aerobic fitness. Participants also learn about different regions and states in Mexico, as they learn dances from throughout the country. Participants perform at community and ACC events.

Youth SPARK | Ages 13-21 | Ongoing | Free

outh SPARK at Aurora Community Connection is a youth leadership and hands-on service program designed to empower local teens to learn, grow and get involved in meaningful community work. The program centers youth voice, fostering a space where young people feel supported, valued and equipped to take action on issues that matter most to them. Along the way, they build strong relationships, learn practical skills and contribute to projects that build a
thriving and resilient community.
Service hours sign off available, along with professional development  opportunities.

Aurora RISE | 5 months - Biweekly sessions | Youth 16–21, with focus on BIPOC & First Gen communities
Aurora RISE is a transformative 5-month leadership program. Through workshops, mentorship,
and hands-on projects, participants will:
  • Explore identity, belonging, and intersectionality
  • Build confidence and leadership skills
  • Learn about civic systems and advocacy
  • Connect with peers and mentors who share their experiences
  • Design and lead community projects for positive change
Together, we’ll amplify youth voices and culture to make meaningful change. Mentorship connections with BIPOC/LGBTQIA+ leaders, stipends, service hours, & networking opportunities available through RISE.
